Gingham Light 2020

The Gingham Light produces a filtered dappled projection of light created using the method of ‘kerfing’ whereby grooves are cut into timber, which is then made malleable from utilising steam to bend and shape into the desired form. By creating grooves on both sides of the timber, the shade has the look and pattern of textural gingham fabric, which is interesting to look at with the light turned both on and off.
